This 54,000 ft.² renovation/expansion in downtown Toronto made significant upgrades to the existing building and improved facilities for the School of Image Arts. The building’s glass-clad exterior increases available light during the day, and becomes a canvas for a striking programmable LED display at night. The Ryerson Image Centre houses the Black Star Collection of photojournalism, a world-renowned collection, in a museum-grade environment.

LMDG provided building code, fire code and fire protection consulting services for this project.
