LMDG – Proudly A ‘Great Place To Work’
LMDG is proud to have received Great Place to Work CertificationTM for the past two consecutive years. This accreditation recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience and an amazing workplace culture.
We pride ourselves on being recognized as a great place to work and below are a few of the efforts we have taken to gain this title for current and prospective employees:
- You’ll grow your career quicker
Our collaborative work style guarantees you access and engagement on a range of projects and sectors. We promote from within, and invest in your career growth. This includes ongoing training and participation through conferences, courses, seminars and technical association memberships. We are also EGBC Accredited Employer Certified, which means you can expedite your Professional Engineer certification.
- You’ll work on a diversity of projects and areas of practice
Commercial and residential; transportation and government; healthcare and academic; sports, cultural, heritage and we do it all. As a mid-sized firm you’ll get the chance to explore a wide range of sectors and specialties, something you often don’t get at larger firms.
- You’ll enjoy our collaborative culture
Our company culture is positive, smart and highly collaborative. We’re a tight-knit, likeminded team that encourages open communication and idea sharing. Along with our work, we also take the time to recharge and connect. You’ll enjoy team events, holiday parties and retreats.
- You’ll have excellent work-life balance
We like being challenged, not overworked. Ridiculous hours are not our norm. Your work hours will be flexible to accommodate your lifestyle.
We offer a hybrid work schedule, with opportunities to work from home. When you’re at the office, you’ll enjoy our bright and modern offices. Our Vancouver office is easily accessible by public transport, cycling routes and with many nearby restaurants, shops and urban amenities. The Calgary team has access to the Telus Tower, a project on which LMDG worked and which was completed in 2022. Our Toronto office is close to the Etobicoke city center.
- You’ll have extended health benefits and a personal wellness spending plan
We’ve got you covered with our extended health benefits plan with flexible coverage for prescriptions and specialists to wellness and eyewear. Our wellness programs include yoga and group fitness classes with personal trainers in our own in-house gym. We also offer a Health and Wellness spending account, and the option to participate in an RRSP matching program.
LMDG – Accredited By ‘Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia ‘
LMDG is proud to celebrate our third year in the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia’s Accredited Employer Program, which helps employers attract and retain high-calibre talent while streamlining the processing and evaluation of applicants seeking professional registration.
Under the program, engineering companies that employ engineers-in-training (EITs) work with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia to offer work environments that ensure EITs are able to satisfy the experience requirements when applying for their professional engineer (P.Eng.) designation. Employers develop their own EIT training programs and apply to Engineers and Geoscientists BC to become accredited. They are responsible for identifying which of their EITs will participate in the program. Engineers-in-training who wish to be considered for the program must work for an accredited company and enroll through their employer.
